C hooks are used to transport coils. The body of the hook is made of 80 mm thick metal plate. The lower contact area of the hook is widened to 220 mm with a welded-on ring plate. The rear contact area is widened in a similar way to 160 mm. The eye bolts of the C hook are designed to be suspended on a simple crane hook of the load-bearing capacity of 12,500 kg.
There are handles on both sides of the vertical C hook arm.
To prevent any coil damage, the C hook is equipped with abrasion free lining on the internal surface of the vertical boom, on the upper (contact) area of the boom and on the front side (nose) of the boom. The lining is attached to the contact plates of the C hook with bolts.
